Still painting. Reviews delayed. Sorry.

I said yesterday that, Lord willin’ and the crick don’t rise, there would be a review of The Perfume Lover and L’Artisan Seville a l’Aube today.

One hates to blame the sovereign deity, so I suppose it’s my fault that I do not have a review ready today.  Yesterday was just a heckuva day, a whole comedy-of-errors, and I still have some facts to check out for the review and a photo to find and that sort of thing, so it’s not ready.  (Why,yes, I do research for some of my reviews.  I do indeed.  Why do you ask?)

The two walls I’ve gotten painted look great.  I like the deep green.  But I haven’t painted the entire space – I have one long wall and the bits of kitchen wall that stick out from behind cabinets yet to paint.  And I’m still worried that, some time in the depths of a gray winter, I may start to feel suicidal, all hemmed in with dark colors… we’ll see.

I will definitely be back on Monday with Scent Diary, and I will push off my review of book and new L’Artisan scent until Tuesday.  Hope to see  you then.

(Oh yes… The CEO and I are visiting a financial planner today – three college tuitions coming up fast in the rear view mirror! – so I’ll get to any comments when I can, probably late tonight or Saturday.)

    1. Oh, I would definitely stick with “Resale Off-White” if there were a possibility that we’d ever sell the house – it’s too much trouble to repaint frequently! But that’s not in the foreseeable future. (Although we did, thank goodness, put the house and our personal lot on the edge of the farm, and not in the middle. We can portion it off and sell it separate from the farm if necessary.)

  1. I hope the financial advisor is helpful. With one in college already, I feel your upcoming financial pain. I couldn’t imagine trying to finance three higher educations. Your kids sound very bright and accomplished so perhaps there will be some merit scholarships in their futures.
You are so ambitious with the painting and all you do. After I read one of your entries for the day I always try to accomplish more in my day. I never seem to get as much done in one day as you do.
I hope you have a good weekend. Looking forward to Monday’s scent diary.

    1. Thanks, T. I think we’ll find his recommendations, which are coming in a couple of weeks after the fact-finding interview (you know, the “What do you want to do with this money, when do you want to retire, what risk do you feel able to face, etc.” questions), helpful.

…you know I don’t have a paying job at the moment, right? I don’t work anywhere but here! That makes a difference in what I can do. And I hope you have a good weekend as well.
